How to ward in League of Legends (part 1)

How to ward in League of Legends (part 1)

Before I talk about the warding spots, I have to talk about the map.  There are 4 exits from enemy jungle and 4 entrances into your jungle from river.  2 entrances and 2 exits each on bottom and top.  And there are blue and red buffs on each side, and baron on top of the map and dragon on bottom of the map.   Ganks and the neutral buff monsters are the reason for many fights that occur during the game and wards can help you win or avoid those fights.  If wards help gain advantages in the fights, why not ward more effectively?
Then where should we ward when and how?  On this post, I will be teaching you on how to ward when you are blue team mid.  Blue team is located on the bottom left side of map, and it is said blue team wins more than purple team.  I will be talking about top, mid and bottom ward spots and how to ward so that you can see enemies’ movements.    If you look at the map, top is close to 1 and 5, and bot is close to 4 and 8, and mid is close to 2, 3, 6, and 7.  Also, jungler can roam around the map and help warding places that need wards.   Then how can all players ward so that they can get most information about enemy?

Mid
Mid warding spots cover 2, 3, 6, and 7.  And top and bot players can save wards if mid is warded well.  Junglers tend to pass by mid a lot and many mid champions tend to roam to top and bot, so warding at mid is very important.  Since mid is relatively close to everywhere on the map so backup play is easy.  Mid player usually gets blue buffs so stealing enemy blue buff and securing own blue buff is very important.  To do all of these, you need wards to make safer decisions.  Honestly, mid player doesn’t need to ward if he’s gonna play safe farming, but wards around mid of the map helps the team so much that it is mid’s job to put wards.

There are 4 major warding spots on top side of mid.
1.       There’s some variation to spot 1.  You can put a ward more to the wraith to see enemy doing wraith.  This ward is to see enemy’s jungler and mid ’s movement toward the river and the top.
2.       People put wards here before mid goes to take their own blue buff or when enemy keeps on coming into ally jungle or before baron fights.
3.       Ward in 3 is very useful since it can see enemy‘s path after they come into river and it can also see above the hill.
4.                               Mid players like to ward there when they don’t have time or feel not safe to ward in 1,2 or 3, but it only prevents mid ganks.

1.       Put a ward here when you don’t feel safe to go into the river or if you don’t have time, but it’s not the best spot.
2.       Ward here lets you do safe dragon try and you can see the enemy entering river and which way they go.
3.       This ward can see enemy entering river and it can also see mid player entering your jungle to go to bot lane.

If you are on purple team, then you would ward like the other side of mid since the map is symmetrical.

Top and Bot lane warding tips will be on next post.

As a fan of The Simpsons, I just started downloading as soon as I saw the Simpsons on the Top New Free game chart on the play store, which is developed by Electronic Arts. I was wonder what game could it be. I thought it would be simple 2D game which you can play as one of the Simpsons family, just solving puzzles or arcade games. However, The Simpsons: Tapped Out is really similar to the FarmVille on Facebook. Basically you get to build the Springfield of their own. All contents of the game is based on the story of The Simpsons, also the best thing is voice of every character. They used the same voice for every character and it gives The Simpsons maniacs more fun.

As you play, you will be given lots quests, which is mostly about building stuff or ordering characters to do things. As the story goes on, you will obtain more and more characters from The Simpsons such as Ned Flanders, Apu, Skinner and so on (Simply most of the characters of The Simpsons). This game is like owning a Special Collection for The Simpsons which makes people get addicted. Whenever users build houses and order characters to do something, they have to wait certain amount of time based on quests or buildings. Quests start from 30s jobs to 24hrs of job for each character, also construction time for the buildings are different for each construction too. As users go deeper and deeper, they have to wait longer and longer. However if you use donuts you can shorten the time and end the quest and building time. But you have to be careful, since donuts are hard to get, and after you used them all you might want to purchase them which makes this game freemium. It is free but it makes you want to pay more and more, on the other hand, it is good for killing time, you can play 5 minutes per day and someday your town would be much bigger and similar to real Springfield.

We gave 4.5 out of 5 for Graphics, it is not 3D game. Animation looks so neat and very detailed. It is almost like watching The Simpsons on your phone. Also, the voice acting makes the game more enjoyable. They used every character’s authentic voices.
We gave 4.0 for Control. Since it is a simple game, you don’t need any control skills. However sometimes you might tap “Use donut” button by mistake. Maybe my thumb is too big or not. But still you can cancel it if you are fast enough.
For the Easiness, definitely 5 out of 5. It sure is easy, and tutorials are really helpful.
We gave 3.5 for the size. App itself is about 49.41mb however, after updating it is about 200mb total, kind of big for simple 2D game.

Temple Run 2

Temple Run 2

Imangi Studios

The Imangi Studios came back with their Temple Run2. Although it might look the same as the Temple Run, however, with more Characters, options and better graphics, the game gets much more interesting than the first one. Backgrounds, characters and contents has changed, even the scary monkey that always following you got bigger. Everyone can enjoy this game, very easy to learn and not quite easy to get higher score which makes game more interesting.

Temple Run 2 is most simple game, yet dangerously addicting game. Users have to avoid obstacles in various ways by swiping the screen up or down which commands the character either to jump or slide. By tilting, users can control character’s direction. Also users have to choose which way to turn by swiping through left or right. It may sound really simple and easy game, however, as the game goes on users confront more dangerous situations and it gets faster and faster. The purpose of this game is how far you can go and how many coins you can earn from one run. By collecting coins, users can upgrade their characters or purchase power ups to obtain higher scores. For power ups, there are Shield, coin bonus, boost, score bonus, coin magnet and gem bonus. For the abilities that users can upgrade are coin value, shield duration, coin magnet, boost distance, pickup spawn, power meter, save me, head start and score multiplier. There are 4 different characters which you can buy them with coins and each character has their own special powers.

We gave 4.5 out of 5 for the total rating of Temple Run 2.
First of all, We gave 5 out of 5 for the easiness of the game, since no matter how old you are, it is really easy to play this game and users need only couple minutes to learn how to play this game. Even though it gets really faster and harder as you go farther, that is the fun about this game.
For the control, we gave 4.5 out of 5. Control is really basic and not laggy most of the time. There are couple times that turns did not work, but that was all. Control is amazing.
Also, for the graphics, we gave 4.5 out of 5. It may look the same as the first version of Temple Run, however backgrounds are more fantastic and the monkey got bigger. It gives decent 3-D experience for users.
For the Size of the game, we gave 4.0 out of 5. The total size of Temple Run 2 is about 32.04 MB. Considering its graphics and contents, the size is pretty small, since some other 3-D games are much huge. But it is not that small, it is a bit larger comparing with other games on app store.

League of Legends Rune Buying Tips

What runes to buy when you become level 20
Many new League of Legends players don’t know how to spend their ip.  Runes, Champions, more rune pages, and sometimes ward skins, there are many things you can buy.
So I am here to solve your problems!
1.       Don’t buy any tier 1 and tier 2 runes!
If you are under level 20, don’t buy any tier 1 and tier 2 runes.  Tier 1 and tier 2 runes are cheap but you won’t be using them when you are level 30.
2.       Don’t buy champions every time you have some ip.
You have to save some ip for runes so don’t use all your ip.  Buy maybe 1 expensive champion and few cheap champions that you really want to play, and save rest ip for runes.  When you become level 20, you will face players with runes.  If you don’t have runes while your enemy has almost full rune set, you will surely have hard time playing.
3.       When you first buy runes, buy runes that can be used by as many champions possible.
When you are low level, you still don’t have many champions and you might not know what kind of champs you are good at.  So buy runes that can be used by many champs.
Here are some runes that many people use and that can be used by almost all champions that are in same category.

AP Champions
There are many different rune setting you can go, but this setting will cost you the least ip since you can use same seal and glyph for other types of champions too.

AD Champions
Getting ad runes for ad champions will benefit you in many ways: easy cs, and hits harder with skills.  Because minions don’t have much armor, getting attack damage helps more for taking cs.  You could get Greater Mark of Armor Penetration for late game if you feel like taking cs is easy.

Support Champions
Add gold quintessence runes if you want to play support.  Because supports don’t take any cs, it’s best to get gold runes so they can buy wards and other items.  Investing on gold mastery will synergize well with the gold rune.  On Mark, you can use many different runes depending on your support’s role.  You can choose one of those three marks.
